Repent and believe

Acts 17:30 ...but now commands all men everywhere to repent.

Have you admitted to God you are a sinner and wept before Him over your failings? Seek that place of repentance with all your heart.

Or do you think, "Eh, I'm not_that_bad., I treat people pretty good and love God, I'll go to heaven" The truth of the Word needs to be known, and_do_you love God?

2Cor 7:10 For godly sorrow works repentance towards salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world works unto death.

Admit you are a sinner and have no ability on your own to control it. Even when you are exhibiting self-control do you not recognize that_God_has given you that self-control (the way out of the temptation) to choose in any given situation? It is not of yourself, do not think yourself to be anything. We are dust, returning to dust. Repent!

Luke 13:3 I tell you, No: but, except you repent, ye shall also perish.

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

At the end, will your answer be "I wasn't that bad and God forgives." He does, hallelujah!!!

But did you, have you ever, asked for forgiveness for your sins??? Ask, and you shall receive.

(helpful hint - Do this every day! You sin every day! Confess your sin and walk in truth.)

REPENT, and be saved from the wrath to come. The penalty for sin is death and separation from God. Only true faith in Christ pays that penalty for you. He is our payment for sin. Praise God!

Our own good works or righteousness are done as obedience, reverence and worship toward God. Faith in Christ will save you from eternal damnation and unite you with Him in eternal life.

Humble yourself! Kneel before God and ask forgiveness for your sins! Then do this everyday.
